Deactivate or delete a service
Retire a service the right way — and why delete is sometimes blocked.
Deactivate: hide it, keep the history
Deactivating a service takes it off your booking page — clients can't book it anymore — while keeping every past appointment's record intact. This is almost always what you want when you stop offering something.
Deactivate from the service's edit screen (Me → Services in the app, or Services on the dashboard). You can reactivate later if you bring the service back.
Delete: gone for good
Deleting removes the service entirely. Mila only allows it when no appointments have ever used the service — if any client has ever booked it, deleting would punch holes in their appointment history and your revenue records, so the app blocks it and offers to deactivate instead.
So if you see "can't delete": nothing is wrong. The service has history. Deactivate it and it disappears from clients' view just the same. More in Can't delete a service.
Price changes vs. retiring
If you're just changing a price or duration, edit the service — no need to retire it. Existing appointments keep the price they were booked at; new bookings get the new price.
