Card on file

Save a client's card for fast checkout — add, replace, or remove it anytime.

A card on file lets you charge a client at checkout without them digging out their wallet — tap, charge, done.

Add a card

  1. Open the client's profile.
  2. In the Card on file section, tap Add card.
  3. Enter the card (or the client can hand you their phone/card to enter). It's saved securely with Stripe — Mila never stores card numbers itself.

If the client pays with Apple Pay or another wallet, the saved method shows with its wallet name rather than card digits.

Use it at checkout

At checkout, the client's saved card appears as a payment option — select it and charge. No card entry, no terminal.

Replace or remove

Same Card on file section on the profile — replace the saved card with a new one, or remove it entirely. One card is saved per client at a time.

Clients can manage their own

Clients can also add and manage their payment methods themselves through the client portal on your booking page.

Requiring cards at booking

Want every self-booked appointment backed by a card? Turn on Require card on file in Settings → Booking Rules on the dashboard — clients must save a card to finish booking. It's a strong no-show deterrent; see Cancel and no-show.
